of the hive, a visit to working hives, how we can keep bees in
our neighborhood and the role consumers can play in the preservation
of bees. Possible honey tasting!. Presenter, Patty
Mangarelli, beekeeper for the farm, will use the Ulster Observation
to demonstrate live bees.

Presenter: Bill Jordan is the President and Founder of Jordan
Energy & Food Enterprises, L.L.C. He also co-founded, along with
his wife, Nancy Brennan-Jordan, the Let’s Share the Sun Foundation
which helps facilitate the use of solar energy in poor communities
around the world. Prior to starting this food and energy
business, he served as special Assistant to the NYS Commissioner
of Agriculture & and Markets coordinating the farm to
school issue. Bill has a Cornell U. degree focusing on resource
management following 6 years working in Chile to improve agricultural
profitability and 5 years work in the building materials
industry.

- Odonata Sanctuary: Solstice Celebration
Celebrate the longest day of the year at beautiful Odonata Sanctuary.
There will be activities for every age, including Bluebird Box
walk, presentation on pond and stream life including dragonflies
and beaver and muskrat habitat, youth activities with the Junior
Naturalists, Nature Journaling and a tour of a Solar Barn.
Guest, Bill Jordan, of Jordan Energy and Food Enterprises, will join
Steve giving hands on solar energy implementation ideas. Bring a
dish to pass and stay for a potluck dinner followed by solstice
ritual featuring music and dance, as well as a bonfire. Beverages
and S’mores provide by hosts Steve Melcher, Cheryl Kelley and
family.

Michael shres the epic of Evolution,our common creation story, a deep-time view of human history and human nature inspiring us to live with greater integrity, joy and zest for life.
